Lara-Dutta-road-safety-475x2541Bollywood actress Lara Dutta Bhupathi attended a press conference in Lucknow, India on October 9, 2013 which was organised to launch the new bridal wear collection that she has designed with traditional wear brand Chhabra 555.

Lara was rocking a traditional outfit with a contemporary twist. She wore a cheerful lehenga sari which had a light, festive vibe. The bottoms and the pleats were yellow and patterned while the pallu was sheer with dainty floral embellishments in silver and thicker lines of silver on the border too. The outfit was worn with a plain red blouse.

She looked comfortable and stylish in the lehenga sari, the outfit defining her curves and the lighter weight of the sheer pallu giving her a pretty girl next door aura. This outfit is easy to wear and to pull off and definitely something every fashionista should look into owning this Indian festive season.

She teamed the outfit with silver strappy heels, several finger rings, a pearl-studded gold bangle and silver dangle earrings. All the bling was simple but elegant. She wore no necklace but the thick silver embellishments on the border of the pallu more than made up for any lack that may have been perceived as a result of that.

Kohled eyes and pink lips were all this former beauty queen needed to highlight her features. She styled her hair in loose but luscious curls which fell loose from a soft middle parting.

Lara turned her hand to fashion design years ago and has been launching her collections with Chhabra for some time now. She personally designs and works on every piece of the collection, keeping in mind current trends, traditional sensibilities and the demands of the modern Indian woman.
