laraaakiLara Dutta, the sexy and hot actress, besides giving hit movies like MASTI, NO ENTRY, PARTNER, HOUSEFULL etc. is renowned for being India’s only second beauty to win the prestigious Miss Universe Title in 2000 turns after Sushmita Sen. We reveals why Lara has high regards for Akshay Kumar and why she considers him a lucky mascot.

Lara Dutta’s friendship with Akshay Kumar cemented with her debut movie ANDAAZ, which fetched her Filmfare Best Debut Award and established her in the film industry. The two came closer particularly because like Sunil Dutta rescued Nargis from blazing fire in MOTHER INDIA likewise Akshay Kumar saved Lara in the movie from drowning. Recalling the horrifying incident, Lara in an interview said, ”We were shooting a romantic song sequence at Cape Town in South Africa. Our director, Sunil Darshanji wanted to capture a scene where Akshay and I are standing near a cliff and beneath a sea tide strikes. As we stood and the sea tide lashed the cliff suddenly I lost balance and fell into the sea. To my horror I did not know swimming but fortunately Akshay was aware hence without wasting a second he jumped into the sea to the amazement of the film unit and rescued me.” She continues, ”Later when Akshay revealed to the film unit that I did not know swimming everybody was taken aback.”

lara_ort_2Boney Kapoor has finally broken his silence on No Entry Mein Entry putting a lid on the rumours that the future of the sequel is bleak. There were even whispers of Salman Khan walking out from the project.

When Mirror caught up with the producer at his plush Seven Bungalows office, he said: “The time has come for me to talk on this. I was supposed to shoot the film in June/July this year. But Salman will be busy with Kick till mid-July. So, I will put my film on floors in January 2015. Salman has allotted 134 days to the film.”

“Do I need to further give evidence that the film is indeed happening? Okay, here are a few more details: Bipasha Basu, Lara Dutta and Celina Jaitley are doing the film. We need seven more heroines and I am planning to ask Esha Deol for one of the roles.”

And what about Anil Kapoor and Fardeen Khan, who were in the first part? “Of course! Both will star in the second part,” he was emphatic.

Anees Bazmee, who directed No Entry, will helm the sequel as well and Mirror has it that Salman, Anil and Fardeen will be seen in triple roles. While Salman and Fardeen will have a lookalike son each, Anil will have a twin brother.

news2The much awaited sequel of super hit film ‘No Entry’ (released in 2005) is finally taking shape and the film’s director Anees Bazmee has decided to start rolling some time mid this year.

Rumour has it that in the movie, titled No Entry Mein Entry, Esha Gupta will be playing the role of Salman Khan’s wife, replacing Esha Deol. And the Deol gal, who played the docile wife to the superstar, appeared to be a bit upset that she won’t be part of the film’s sequel.

“They are taking all new girls ya,” said Esha when asked if she will miss doing the film. But then, the director is keen on repeating Bipasha Basu, who played the sultry siren in the laugh riot. To which Esha replies, “Good for her.” On his part, Anees Bazmee maintained, “Some would be new faces,” he said.

Incidentally, Esha’s not the only out who won’t be seen in the sequel. Her co-stars from the first film, Lara Dutta and Celina Jaitly too are reportedly not in the reckoning for the sequel. Interestingly, all three of them are married. Wonder why the makers of the film feel that married actresses may not be suitable to play wives again, in No Entry Mein Entry.

newsThree years after her first home production, Chalo Dilli, released, on April 29, 2011, Lara Dutta is getting ready to roll with its sequel.

“Chalo China will be shot in multiple locations across Asia, including Thailand, Malaysia and China. This film is not set in India,” informs the actress. Lara’s character, the very ‘propah’ investment banker from Mumbai, Mihika Banerjee, who en route to meet her husband Akshay Kumar is forced to take to the road with an unlikely travelling companion, will return in all her manicured glory in the sequel. “We’ll maintain Mihika’s look and presentation,” says the actress.

Vinay Pathak too will return as Manu Gupta, the loud sari seller who is a quintessential Dilliwallah. “I had put on 15 kgs for the earlier film, this time I’m almost there. Manu is not Milkha Singh so he can be of any shape or size. Even if he weren’t obese and moustached, you’d still know it was him,” says Vinay, adding that after the cult hit “Bheja Fry”, he was deliberately looking to play a character that was not a stock comic and found him in Manu who enjoys street food and budget travel.
