The idea of travelling around the world in just 20 minutes could be implausible for many of us, but not Lara Dutta. The actress took people on a trip around the globe in 20 minutes at the launch of the office of US-based travel website Expedia here Friday night.

The former beauty queen took media as well as the guests on a walk across the 42,000 sq. ft. property, designed in a way to represent various global destinations like Las Vegas, Rio De Janeiro, Beijing, Moscow, and Fiji among others.

“A walk around the place helps one identify with the thought of Expedia. I was brimming with excitement as we went around each zone that represented a travel destination,” said Lara at the launch of the ‘travel themed’ workplace of the global website’s India office here.

Lara Dutta Bhupathi has managed to snap back into shape after the birth of her daughter Saira, about seven months ago. And she’s back on the sets in director Bejoy Nambiar’s trilingual ‘David’.

“It’s just great to be back. I missed work, but what I’m picking now is very limited. I’m in a position to pick and choose work depending on how many hours it keeps me away from Saira,” says. Lara adds that her priorities have changed post motherhood, so much so that she’ll think twice before signing on the dotted line.

“It’s not easy, it’s harder on me than it is on her now. Saira has become my greatest barometer for the choices that I make in my life. I am not going to get out of my house and leave her behind unless it’s really worth it.” And she hasn’t bid goodbye to item numbers as yet. “I love dancing and singing. I am sure I will do more of that, but it has to be worth it,” she says.

Had she clinched it, she would have got the first big win in 12 years. The last Miss Universe title came home in 2000 with Lara Dutta winning the crown; the last Miss World also came the same year with Priyanka Chopra bagging the title.
